Privacy policy

Furrier Group d.o.o., OIB 74524135333, Kapelska ulica 71, Osijek, protects the privacy and personal data of its clients under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Croatian Act implementing the GDPR, Official Gazette 42/2018. This policy explains how we process personal data in accordance with those principles.

Our principles

  • We never sell, lend, distribute or publicly disclose your personal data.
  • We do not give third parties access without your knowledge.

  • We do not transfer your personal data outside the EU.
  • We ensure that your personal data is stored securely.

Data we collect

We collect personal data when you contact us through the website or contact form, respond to direct marketing campaigns, register for our events, or when partners lawfully provide us with your information.

The information may include your name, address, email, telephone or fax number, personal identification number, the organisation or institution you work for or represent, and other information you share with us that you wish to remain confidential.

How we use your data

Processing must have a legal basis, including legitimate interests, contractual obligations, legal obligations or consent. We rely on legitimate interests to promote and provide information about our services and maintain high sales standards, balancing those interests against the fundamental rights and freedoms of existing and potential clients.

Data may be transferred to third parties where there is a justified basis, such as providing a service or fulfilling a contractual or legal obligation.

With your consent, we use direct marketing to inform you about news, promotions, purchase benefits, new products and our participation in fairs, conferences and other events. You may withdraw consent or object to this processing at any time.

We must comply with Croatian and applicable supranational laws. Where legally required, this may include providing information to law enforcement, regulators, courts or parties to litigation concerning proceedings or investigations. Where permitted, we will refer the request to you or notify you before responding, unless doing so could affect the prevention or detection of crime. Disclosure in response to a binding request is a legal obligation whose scope depends on that request.

Privacy and security

We use security measures, including encryption and authentication, to protect the security, integrity and availability of your information. Data is held on our secure servers and those of our partners and is accessed in accordance with our security rules and standards.

We take measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing and accidental loss. By completing the contact form, the user gives separate consent to the processing of the data entered for the specified purpose or purposes.

We protect all users’ privacy in accordance with the GDPR and applicable national rules. We do not use collected data without authorisation or make it available to third parties except where permitted by law, required by a legal obligation or necessary to fulfil a contract.

Storage and protection

Furrier Group continually takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep personal data secure and requires the same of external processors. Access is restricted to prevent unauthorised access, alteration or misuse and is available only to employees who need the information for their work. Employees and business partners are responsible for respecting privacy principles.

We collect only the basic user and prospective customer information necessary to meet obligations or perform contracts. Automatically recorded website data, such as IP address, domain name, browser type, visit counts and time spent on pages, is used only to assess website traffic and improve content and functionality, and for statistical and security purposes.

We inform users how their data is used and use it for marketing campaigns only with separately obtained consent. Users must update registered details when their personal information changes.

We retain user data for five years after the business relationship ends or until receiving an erasure request from the individual, after which it is deleted. Longer retention applies only where required by Croatian or applicable supranational law.

Your rights

  • Access: request confirmation that we process your data and obtain access. If we hold a large amount, we may ask you to specify the information you want.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or complete incomplete data. Please notify us of changes without delay.
  • Erasure: request deletion, for example where data is no longer necessary or processing is unlawful. We may be unable to delete information needed to meet legal or contractual obligations or another lawful basis under the GDPR.
  • Restriction: request restricted processing, for example while an objection, accuracy or lawfulness is being assessed, or where you need the data for legal claims rather than deletion.
  • Portability: where automated processing is based on consent or a contract, receive the data you provided and, where technically feasible, have it transferred directly to another controller.
  • Objection: object to processing because of your particular situation. We will restrict processing and cease processing and erase the data unless justified legal grounds support retention. You may object to direct marketing at any time, after which we will stop processing your data for that purpose.
